Hey Biker! Be a Part of VeloMutations 2008!!! Sept 19-21
VeloMutations is Vancouver's fifth annual festival of Biker Arts and Culture. This weekend long festival is a showcase of Vancouver Bike Arts and Culture. Following the demise of PedalPlay, the For Bikers By Bikers organizing group leads this collaborative effort of Vancouver's Bikers into its 5th annual incarnation.
VeloMutations has in the past featured bike film nights, races, competitions, the Canadian debut of Portlands Sprockettes, guerilla art installations, Alley Kittens, midnight bike rides as well as VeloMutation, the party.
SEPTEMBER 19
Dead Baby Bikes International Independent Film Festival.
(2 hours + intermission). MacLean Park, 8pm.
Outdoors so bring a blanket. By Donation.

SEPTEMBER 20
C.H.U.N.K.666 Mutant Bike Proving Grounds
A training ground for the Chopacalypse. Open call for competitors. Bring your padded and helmeted self and not your prettiest bike.
Freestyle Parking Lot, Pacific Blvd near Science World, 3-6pm.

Performance Ride
Join the The B:C:Clettes and Brakes on a magical ride through east Van with performances and stops along the way. Science World Gazebo, 7pm.

VeloMutation, the party
DJs, dancing, competitions, games, clowns, performance by The Velo Vixens, and the return of The Sprockettes. Live music and performances by Orcateers and Cherchez La Femme. The Sweatshop, 1945 East Hastings, 9pm. $5-15 sliding scale.

Sunday Seymour Mountain Bomb by Glenna, Flygirl of the Apocalypse.
Meet at Grandview Park, 1pm. Helmets are a must for sure, leather encouraged.
